Please note City Hall Annex hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-12:30PM and 1:30PM-5:00PM. We will close daily for lunch during 12:30PM-1:30PM. 

***ATTENTION***
Please be aware that the merchant service provider charges a 3% convenience fee when paying online through this service. The software company will also charge a $2.00 service fee per transaction to manage the online bill pay system.

PLEASE NOTE- The City of Bessemer City does not benefit or profit from these fees.

Avoid these fees by contacting Customer Service at 704-629-5542 to sign up for automatic bank draft (ACH).

Payment Options

• In Office: Cash, check, money orders or branded debit and credit card (VISA, MasterCard and Discover) are accepted in the office.
• After Hours Drop Box: A drop box is available outside City Hall Annex. Envelopes are provided. Please make sure your name, address and account number is included with your payment.
• AutoPay Through City: The City offers AutoPay from your checking account on or around the 10th of each month prior to late fees being assessed.  There are NO additional fees for this service. Contact us today to set this up.

For home owner gas customers, the City offers “Budget Billing” – an equalized payment plan which spreads the cost of natural gas equally over an eleven (11) month period with catch up on month twelve (12).
